The Marel Mutant Massacre Map.
This is kind of really awesome.
I didn’t live near a direct market store; I’ve never gotten to read POWER PACK #27.
FUCK THIS BULLSHIT
Nightcrawler
He was a gift and I couldn’t be happier with how he turned out. I try my best to keep these captions short so it looks cleaner in a reblog but here a few notes. There’s a little Errol Flynn in his face as well as some facial hair to jazz him up a little and make him more “mine.” There’s also some digital kisses that aren’t in the original painting like subtle color shifts to imply sun fading and wear. I wanted to showcase his mutant powers in a fun way so I came up with this composition. Sure, he ends up doing the silliest, shortest, most frivolous teleportation he’s probably ever done and it comes off looking a little more “phasing-through-walls” than I’d intended. But I think it’s a playful looking piece and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Inspired by Evan “Doc” Shaner’s Favorite Five X-Men post, I put together mine. No surprises, really, I only read the book through high school and these were the X-Men of that era more or less…
My top five X-Men, yearbook style. 80s represent!!
Colossus / Rogue / Nightcrawler / Shadowcat / Phoenix
(in no particular oder)It’s nice to imagine them as awkward high school dorks, not just as the post-atomic supermodel demi-gods they grew up to be.
A drawing exercise too fun not to do. Inspired by Kris Anka, Evan Shaner, Russel Dauterman and others.
My favorite X-Men, strung together from old sketches (some very old) after the astonishing Brett White got me thinking about it. They’re not necessarily ranked, though Beast is always #1.
A column I wrote inspired Evan Shaner to draw this, which inspired Kris Anka to draw this. So I figured why not? I don’t draw that much anymore, at all. And I hate that development in my life. So I banged these out very, very quickly.
I truthfully spent way more time picking my five favorite X-Men. I’m glad that Madrox and Siryn have never been official X-Men, because omitting Gambit, Boom Boom and Warpath was already hard enough.
For the record, that’s classic/current Rogue, Capullo X-Force Cannonball, classic Nightcrawler, Pollina X-Force Domino, and Cassaday Astonishing Kitty.
My five favorite X-Men, as drawn by me very quickly late last night.
Marko Djurdjevic’s X-Men redesigns that got him discovered by Marvel.
After all these years and artwork, I still love these. These are fantastic (4:1 male:female ratio of X-Men aside)
